What happened

During a scheduled flight departing from Morón Air Base and destined for Murcia-San Javier Air Base, a four-engine aircraft encountered a fatal collision with terrain. While operating at cruising altitude, the aircraft struck the upper slopes of Mount Mulhacén, which reaches an elevation of 3,478 meters, within the Sierra Nevada mountain range.
