What happened
During an operation departing from Erding AFB, the flight crew encountered severe weather characterized by heavy snowfall. Due to these deteriorating conditions, the captain elected to abort the initial departure and attempt a return to the airfield. While on final approach, the aircraft stalled and descended into a house situated approximately one kilometer before the runway threshold.
The impact resulted in the deaths of ten crew members and a two-and-a-half-year-old girl. Only two individuals from the aircraft survived the accident: the captain and the navigator.
