What happened

A charter flight departed from Naga Airport at 15:24 local time, bound for Manila-Intl Airport. During the descent toward its destination, the crew encountered adverse meteorological conditions characterized by thunderstorms and low cloud cover. While navigating these conditions, the twin engine airplane collided with the slope of Mt Palagyo, situated approximately 42 km northeast of Manila Airport.
