What happened

Shortly after departing from Bogotá-Guaymaral Airport, an aircraft entered a climb phase before experiencing significant mechanical difficulties. During this ascent, the pilot lost control of the aircraft type while navigating the airspace. The plane subsequently impacted hilly terrain situated approximately 40 km southeast of Bogotá, in the vicinity of Chingasa.

There were nine fatalities recorded during the accident, as all occupants on board perished in the crash. No survivors were reported from the site.

Findings

Initial reports indicate that the primary factor leading to the loss of control was technical problems encountered by the crew during the initial climb following takeoff.
