Synopsis
Air carrier flight crew reported the pilot taxiing had to make a sudden stop to avoid a vehicle on the road that began to enter the ramp. Reportedly; flight attendants were injured as a result of the abrupt stop.
Narrative
This was the first flight of the sequence. Taxi out of Gate XX South on the Bravo line. Just prior to the vehicle crossing road a Fuel Truck was approaching and not slowing or stopping to avoid the aircraft. I alerted the Student CA (Captain) who was taxiing the aircraft. He stopped the aircraft abruptly and we came to a stop prior [to] the crossing road. The Fuel truck also stopped; then proceeded to reverse (backup) to clear the taxi lane. I contacted the Ramp Tower to notify them of the incident and we continued the taxi to the runway.I contacted the Flight Attendants in the back who said the two Flight Attendants in the Aft Galley were possibly injured. They both indicated they were 'fine' and wanted to continue. Flight continued. At Cruise Altitude; I investigated further possible FA (Flight Attendant) injuries. They requested that a FA Supervisor and EMT's meet the aircraft to 'get checked out' . I notified Dispatch via ACARS. They coordinated with MEDLINK and the ZZZ1 Operations. We landed uneventfully; taxied to the gate. The aircraft was met by ZZZ1 [supervisor] and EMTs. No further information was received.
