Synopsis
GA pilot reported having to provide heavy braking to avoid a van crossing the runway they were landing on at a non-towered airport.
Narrative
I was flying Aircraft X. The aircraft had its Navigation lights; rotating beacon; wingtip strobes and Landing/Taxi Lights activated at the time of the incident. There was 1 passenger on board. I was in the pattern for runway XX at ZZZ. Before turning base; I made a radio call on CTAF that 'Cessna Cardinal is turning base for Runway XX at ZZZ'. While turning base I observed a cargo van with an amber flashing light on the roof entering the airport from an access road onto Taxiway Charlie. I made another radio call on CTAF 'a Cessna Cardinal is turning final Runway XX touch and go ZZZ.' The van proceeded on Taxiway Charlie to Taxiway Alpha. As the van turn on to Taxiway Alpha; I made another radio call on CTAF 'Cardinal short final Runway XX; ZZZ.' The aircraft was at about 50 feet AGL about to across the runway threshold when I made that radio call. I touched down at about the 1;000 foot marks. I observed the van slow down near the hold short lines for the intersection of Taxiway Alpha and Runway YY/XX. As I was rolling out passing Taxiway Delta; the van accelerated across Runway YY/XX. I applied heavy braking to slow the closing distance between my aircraft and the van. The van was approximately 600 feet in front of me when it crossed the runway. The van never made any radio calls while on the airport property. When able I exited the runway on taxiway Alpha to the FBO. I shutdown at the FBO and advised the Airport manager of the incident.
