Narrative
SMA X WAS VFR PRACTICING ON THE ILS FOR RWY 20L. WHEN SMA X RPTED THE KEELEY OM; THE ACFT WAS CLRED TO LAND. 1 MIN AND 10 SECONDS LATER; SMT Y CALLED READY FOR DEP ON RWY 2R. I SCANNED THE RWY AND CLRED SMT Y FOR DEP ON 2R. THE ACFT LOST SEPARATION. THE CLOSEST THEY CAME IN MY PROFESSIONAL OPINION WAS 1000 FT HORIZLY AND 300-500 VERTICALLY. THE PROBLEM WAS DISCOVERED WHEN SMA X PLT SAID 'JESUS CHRIST'! NO EVASIVE ACTION WAS TAKEN BY EITHER ACFT. I TURNED MYSELF IN AN RPTED TO THE FAA. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS: I WAS TOLD WAS NOT CONTRIBUTING. 2 CTLRS WORKING ON SHIFT. TFC WAS HVY ENOUGH IN THE PREVIOUS 2 HRS NOT EVEN TO RELIEVE OURSELVES. WAS ON POS 2 1/2 HRS WITHOUT BREAK; THEN WENT TO GND CTL. WAS TOLD PREVIOUS DAY THAT I DID NOT MAKE THE PERMANENT SUPVRS POS AT LUK TWR (PRESENTLY TEMPORARY SUPVR). THAT IT WAS GIVEN TO A YOUNGER; AND I FEEL LESS COMPETENT CTLR. ALSO THAT THE SELECTION WAS NOT FAIR. I WAS REALLY HURT. SLIGHT HEADACHE. PLUS I ASSUMED SMT Y WAS OFF 20L; HARD TO TELL AT THE S END BECAUSE TREES OBSCURE ABOUT 35 PERCENT OF THE RWY; ESPECIALLY THE S END.
