Synopsis

Cirrus Vision SF50 pilot reported a problem with the aircraft engine control system. Diverted to nearest airport.

Narrative

Flying from ZZZ TO ZZZ1 in cruise FL310 (I requested and was granted this altitude that put me over the layer) I experienced a warning (red) CAS (Crew Alert System) alarm FADEC (Full Authority Digital Electronic Control) degraded at this point we were above the layer but if I need to go down I will be IMC. This is my first priority handling. I executed the check list related to this CAS. If unable to take the warning off the Check list requested landing as soon as possible. I Informed ATC for help to get me to the closet airport. I descended to ZZZ2 at 6000 ft. MSL (the CAS message may have disappeared before; but I was looking outside for the airport) I noticed the CAS message had disappeared. Not exactly sure of the issue; I decided to land in ZZZ2 as soon as possible. I did not experience any engine failure or any engine anomalies. I try canceled IFR just before landing. Contacted Cirrus maintenance on the ground. The issue is currently resolved. The plane just completed its 100h in ZZZ4 on Date. Date of the incident was between XApm and XA:43 PM Local around XA:32 UTC.
