GEAR UP LNDG IN A TOUCH AND GO NIGHT OP.

Narrative

WENT OUT ABOUT XX30 LCL TO PRACTICE NIGHT LNDGS. TOOK OFF; STAYED IN PATTERN; LANDED ALL NORMAL. STARTED TOUCH AND GO. ACFT SETTLED TO RWY; ENDED UP AT A 45 DEG ANGLE TO RWY 7 (APPROX 025 DEG). WOULD INDICATE I HIT GEAR SWITCH INSTEAD OF FLAPS. WHEN ENOUGH AIRSPD AND SENSOR SWITCH ON GEAR RELEASED; GEAR COLLAPSED; PROP HIT RWY AND STOPPED; SOME FUEL LEAKAGE FROM LOW POINT FUEL LINE AND FROM R TIP TANK DRAIN. ONE FACTOR THAT CONTRIBUTED TO ACCIDENT WAS LACK OF NIGHT HRS IN ACFT IN LAST 90 DAYS. HAVE PLENTY OF NIGHT HRS BUT NOT RECENT. JUDGEMENT WAS POOR DUE TO EXPERIENCE OVERALL IN TYPE AND FEELING THAT IN A 0 WIND; CLR NIGHT SITUATION DIDN'T NEED TO MAKE FULL STOP LNDG; AND TAXI BACK OUT FOR TKOF. FEEL PLT SHOULD ALWAYS MAKE FULL STOP AND GO THROUGH CHKLIST BEFORE NEXT TKOF AT NIGHT. NTSB AND FAA WERE CALLED. THEY CALLED IT AN INCIDENT. ALSO TALKED TO SAFETY FAA INSPECTOR AND HE FELT IT WAS AN INCIDENT. THAT IS WHY I FILED THIS RPT AFTER 30 YRS OF FLYING WITHOUT AN ACCIDENT OF ANY TYPE.
