Narrative
Aircraft X; ZZZ-ZZZ1. Northbound on ZZZZ; just south of ZZZ2; at FL330 the #1 Flight Attendant rang the flight deck and informed the crew that a burning odor was detected near rows 27-30. (Time detected was approximately XA00z and the flight deck was informed about 2 minutes later.) The Flight Attendants immediately shut off power to the seat outlets and told the passengers to unplug any electronic devices. The burn bag was fetched but not used. Immediately following these actions; the flight deck was notified but it appeared that the odor was already beginning to dissipate. On the flight deck we consulted with our manuals; Dispatch and Maintenance Control and we concluded; with agreement from the Flight Attendants; that the immediate danger or source of the odor had been mitigated. We elected to continue on to our destination as there was not a continuing odor or any additional indications of a problem. The crew communicated well internally and externally and made an uneventful trip to the original destination. There were no injuries or ill effects reported by passengers or crew. On landing the aircraft was inspected; written up and taken out of service.
