SMA X HAD LTSS FROM ACR Y. SYS ERROR.

Narrative

THERE WERE 2 ACFT ON V244 EBOUND SAME AREA ONE AT 5000 GOING TO LVK AND ONE AT 7000 GOING TO SCK. THERE WAS ALSO AN ACFT NEBOUND ON V195 AT 5000 GOING TO LVK; AN ACFT ON THE APCH TO LVK DSNDING OUT OF 4000; AND AN ACFT S OF ECA WBOUND AT 4500 VFR GOING TO LVK VOR AN APCH. WHILE I WAS ENSURING THAT THE ACFT FOR LVK WERE SEPARATED I OBSERVED SMA X EBOUND AND ACR Y SBOUND AT 7000. I ISSUED TFC TO ACR Y AND DSNDED SMA X IMMEDIATELY. IT WAS ONE OF THE FIRST WX SYSTEMS OF THE YR IN OUR AREA AND THERE WERE MORE ACFT WANTING IFR APCHS TO LVK THAN USUAL. I LET THE APCH ACFT TO LVK DISTRACT ME FROM MY OTHER TFC. IF THERE ARE UNUSUAL FACTORS SUCH AS WX SYSTEMS IN THE AREA THAT COULD EFFECT THE USUAL TFC FLOW BE EXTRA CAUTIOUS AND ASK FOR HDOF POS TO BE OPENED IF NECESSARY. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO. THE RPTR STATED HE WAS A DEVELOPMENTAL CTLR RADAR CERTIFIED ON THE APCH CTL POS HE WAS WORKING. HE HAD 1 YR EXPERIENCE IN THE FACILITY. CONFLICT ALERT HAD ACTIVATED WHICH BROUGHT THE SEPARATION PROBLEM BTWN SMA Y AND ACR X TO HIS ATTN. A SYS ERROR WAS FILED. SEPARATION WAS 1 MI HORIZ AND 0 VERT.
