Synopsis
Corporate flight crew reported a TA and RA during departure climb from CCR airport requiring evasive action.
Narrative
Aircraft X departed CCR Runway 19R on the Buchanan 2 Departure. Just prior to reaching the VOR; we had a TA for traffic at our 10 o'clock position. ATC called the traffic out as well and told us to turn right to avoid the traffic. In the mean time we had another TA at out 2 o'clock position. Then ATC called out that traffic and told us to turn further right and climb to 10;000 ft; effectively vectoring us directly into the traffic at our 2 o'clock. I told ATC verbatim; 'We are not going to do that because we have traffic right there!' As that was occurring we got the RA for the traffic above and at our 2 o'clock. The Pilot Flying (PF) pulled power; rolled the aircraft into a right bank and descended. He rolled right because the other aircraft was traveling from right to left. This ensured more separation from the other aircraft and allowed us to maintain visual contact as we responded to the RA. At that point I notified ATC that we were responding to the RA. Once we were clear of conflict; I notified ATC that we can accept the original clearance and continued without incident. There were many other aircraft in the area and I don't think ATC fully understood the situation because they vectored us directly into the other aircraft's position. We responded to the RA 'DESCEND'I think ATC should have had a better understanding of the situation and given us more accurate and helpful instructions.
