FAILED TO TRACK THE RADIAL DEPICTED ON THE STAR.
Narrative
FLT PLAN CALLED FOR 'SUREN' ARR TO W PALM BEACH (PBI) WITH ORMOND BEACH TRANSITION. AFTER XING ORMOND BEACH; I FAILED TO FLY OUT THE 151 DEG RADIAL AND INSTEAD CONTINUED ON THE INBOUND COURSE (360 DEG RADIAL) OUTBOUND (180 DEG RADIAL). EARLIER; JAX CENTER HAD GIVEN US A 180 DEG VECTOR FOR TFC; SO AFTER PASSING OMN; I DID NOT MAKE THE TURN. AT 50 DME; CENTER QUERIED OUR FLT PLAN. I SAID WE WERE CLRED SUREN ARR PBI. HE SAID WE ARE OFF COURSE; AND GAVE US A 130 DEG HDG TO INTERCEPT. NO TFC CONFLICT WAS INDICATED. I BELIEVE THAT SOME TYPE OF REMINDER SYS (SUCH AS ALT ALERTER) OR DEVICE NEEDS TO BE DEVELOPED AND STANDARDIZED TO REMIND AIR CREWS WHEN VECTORS ARE REMOVED AND NORMAL NAV IS TO BE RESUMED. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 193991. AS WE PASSED EACH VOR ON THE AIRWAY THE CAPT WOULD DIRECT ME TO SET MY INSTS FOR THE NEXT INBOUND. THE CAPT AFTER BRIEFING THE OUTBOUND COURSE FORGOT TO CHANGE THE COURSE ON THE HSI. THIS RESULTED IN FLYING OUTBOUND APPROX 30 DEGS R OF THE PROPER COURSE. BECAUSE OF THIS SET-UP MY INSTS WERE OF NO USE IN CATCHING THIS MISTAKE.
