COMMUTER LTT TRACK HDG DEV. FLC WAS FOLLOWING THE WRONG PREFILED FLT PLAN.

Narrative

OUR COMPANY FILES ALL FLT PLANS FOR OUR COMMUTER FLTS. CURRENT COPIES OF ALL COMPANY FLT PLANS ARE KEPT IN PUBLICATIONS IN EACH COMPANY ACFT. WE HAD AN EARLY FLT FROM CHATTANOOGA TO CINCINNATI. THE FO GOT THE CLRNC FROM CHA CLRNC DELIVERY; WHICH WAS; 'CLRED TO CVG VIA CHATTANOOGA 5 DEP; V-333 HCH; AS FILED; MAINTAIN 5000 FT.' I THEN OPENED THE RWY ANALYSIS BOOK TO CHK THE RTING FOR OUR FILED FLT PLAN. THE 'ACFT COPY OF FLT PLANS' READ 'CHA.V333.HYK.V57.FLM.CVG.' THIS WAS THE RTE I HAD FLOWN SEVERAL TIMES PREVIOUSLY SO I THOUGHT NOTHING OF IT. THIS WAS THE RTE THE FO WAS USED TO ALSO. WE DEPARTED CHA AND ATLANTA CENTER CLRED US DIRECT TO HCH. AFTER PASSING OVER HCH; WE TURNED ON V-333 TO HYK (LEXINGTON). AFTER FLYING 15 MI INDIANAPOLIS CENTER; WHO WE WERE THEN TALKING TO; CALLED AND ASKED WHERE WE WERE GOING. I ANSWERED DIRECT HYK VIA THE FLT PLAN RTE. AFTER ABOUT 30 SECONDS; CENTER SAID THAT DUE TO TFC INTO CVG WE WERE TO PROCEED OVER LOUISVILLE AND THEN V-5 CVG. HE THEN CLRED US DIRECT TO IIU. AFTER ABOUT 10 MINS INDIANAPOLIS CENTER SAID THAT WE HAD A POSSIBLE RTE DEV. HE THEN RECHKED THE FLT PLAN RTE AND THOUGHT THAT CLRNC MADE A MISTAKE BY NOT GIVING US THE REVISED RTING. UPON LNDG WE RPTED THE ABOVE TO THE CHIEF PLT. ON OUR NEXT FLT TO GSO; WHILE CHKING THE FILED RTE OF FLT; WE FOUND ANOTHER 'ACFT COPY OF FLT PLANS' IN THE MANUAL; BEHIND THE ONE WE USED FOR THE CHA FLT; WHICH SUPERSEDED THE FIRST. THE RTING ON THE NEW FLT PLAN WAS 'CHA.HCH.V51.IIU.V5.CVG.' SOMEHOW; WHEN THE CURRENT FLT PLAN WAS PUT IN; THE OLD ONE WAS INADVERTENTLY NOT THROWN OUT. WE THUS USED THE OLD RTING WHICH WAS RECENTLY CHANGED. SINCE THE RTING WAS IN THE MANUAL; AND WAS ONE WE USED SEVERAL TIMES PREVIOUSLY; WE HAD NO REASON TO SUSPECT THAT THE RTING WAS RECENTLY CHANGED.
