Narrative

We loaded the front belly of Aircraft X with Human Remains and when finished loading aircraft locked up and I went inside to finalize my flight at that point I discovered that a Dangerous Good [container] was in the Dangerous Goods Form in the computer. I never loaded Human Remains as dangerous goods before with Dry Ice included I was going to refuse all the cargo freight mail and take bags only since the flight had come in late so all I had to do was put a T for time not loading the freight but then I found out the Human Remains was in red meaning it was dangerous goodsWhen closing the flight that's when I noticed the red HHR1 in the section where my freight was and then at that time because I saw NO labels on the [container] when loaded I didn't know it was a Dangerous Good then right away told my Ramp Manager. Also I never been trained or been taught anything about Human Remains and dry ice put together I ALWAYS depend on my scanner to pull up and get my trip sheet and all notifications are coming from the scanner and when I pull tripsheet it always prints a copy to the printer. All was figured out right away; I went to the Ramp Manager to tell her to bring that plane back...but before that I told one of my crewmembers to stop the aircraft all we needed was for the Tower to have the aircraft park at the hard stand and give them the paper work.....and it also scanner shut down during the flight bags came late from bag room a lot of issues....with this scanner. The Company must [make] up their minds if they want the crew chiefs to use the scanner for loading and unloading aircraft and be mindful that it can make a mistake such as it did on my flight and did not as it did the day before give notification the before I started to load my flight I don't play with my work I take my work seriously and safety and passengers come first.
