Synopsis

Air carrier First Officer reported a near miss with a UAS while on climb out.

Narrative

On climb out of CVG; on the Bengal 4 RNAV departure; we saw a drone at 10;800/11;800 [ft.] (wrote it down in such a hurry my handwriting isn't decipherable FT.) The drone narrowly (estimating 5-10 yards off the aircraft left wing tip) missed contact with our wing. It was still fairly dark; but based on the red and white lighting configuration I could see; the drone appeared to be a quadcopter and probably less than 5 feet across. The body of the drone was dark in color. By the time we saw it coming at us; it was too late to do anything about it; so thankfully we narrowly missed it. ATC asked us what color it was and what color the lights were; and what size it was. We were at 11;800 [ft.] and climbing at 1;500+ fpm or so; abeam and north of HAO airport. Cause - The event occurred because someone wasn't following the drone airspace rules.Suggestions - Not much on the pilot end we can do; by the time we saw it visually; it was too late to do anything. We're really just lucky because it was in very very close proximity to our wing tip (same altitude)
