Narrative
Started off the morning with an early show. Arrived to the aircraft and upon getting release we realized we are not in the correct tail even though we are at the correct gate. We called Dispatch and Dispatch told us the other plane had already blocked out. After switching tail numbers on our release. We contacted Ground Crew. Asked them if they were ready. They said yes. I asked them if they were ready for break release they rambled something off and said ready for break release. I released the break and stated 'breaks off steers off clear to push positive de-ice.' Waited a couple seconds and said it again with no response. I then asked did you hear me? The Ground Crew said yes there is a plane behind you de-icing and another in the ally pushed. I responded thank you.A couple mins later we start pushing with no issues then Ground Crew said set break. I set the parking break to find out that we were slowly rolling across the ramp backwards. I stated that we were still moving to ramp they stated they said set break multiple times and was gesturing to a head set issue as she started cutting in and out. The flight crew never had comes come over the ramp com. And no hand signs were given. We ask Operations to make sure there was no damage and told them what happened as a precaution we had none suspected but we also did not expect this. Iceman stated no damage he could see. So we proceeded to deice and leave as normally.
