Synopsis
C150 pilot reported a ground conflict during landing with a departure aircraft which aborted the takeoff at a non-towered airport. The landing pilot taxied off runway to avoid a collision on the ground.
Narrative
On the date of this incident; I was conducting a student solo flight. After practicing maneuvers nearby; I flew back to ZZZ for landing Runway XX. On downwind; I noticed an experimental aircraft holding short for Runway XX. I turned base and made appropriate radio calls. At this time the pilot of the experimental aircraft announced he was departing XX. I then turned final; made appropriate radio calls and stated I would go around if needed due to the aircraft still positioned on the end of the runway. At this point the aircraft began taking off; not responding to my radio call; and I used my best judgment to determine whether to go around. I was at a low altitude with full flaps; and I thought a go around while veering right could be dangerous due to buildings and terrain right of the runway. I believed the best course of action was to land after the aircraft had taken off or go around following the heading of the runway. I didn't feel comfortable going around over the runway; in fear that the departing aircraft could liftoff too close to my position. As I approached the beginning of the runway; the departing aircraft was still on the ground; and I figured out later he had aborted takeoff. He made no radio calls communicating this with me. In the moment; I determined it was safest to land at the beginning of the runway; stopping as soon as possible. I felt like this was safer than going around and risking a mid air collision. At the time I touched down; the other aircraft was approximately 3;000 ft down the runway from me. I taxied off the runway as soon as possibly to avoid collision on the ground.
