Synopsis

C680 Captain reported receiving a FLAPS FAIL CAS Message on descent along with WIND SHEAR FAIL and GROUND PROX FAIL. The flight crew continued to make a non-normal landing at destination airport.

Narrative

While during the descent phase of our flight from ZZZ1 to ZZZ; through 16;000 ft.; an Amber FLAPS FAIL CAS Message Illuminated along with Cyan CAS messages of WIND SHEAR FAIL and GROUND PROX FAIL. The FLAPS FAIL CAS Message and other two corresponding messages occurred without any pilot input; to include any preceding selection of flaps. As a result of the FLAPS FAIL CAS Message; we proceeded to comply with the actions associated with the Emergency/Abnormal checklist for this failure; which included an inflight reset of the flap system per the checklist; which did not remedy the problem. Since landing at flap positions other than Full (35 degrees) is an abnormal landing; I proceeded to request priority handling. Once the abnormal checklist was completed; through no additional pilot action; the aforementioned failures cleared themselves from the CAS window. We were able to operate the flaps normally; rescinded the priority request status; and landed without incident.Once the passengers disembarked; contact was initiated to maintenance; followed by a subsequent conference call with the Supervisor to discuss the next steps. A discrepancy was entered into the Aircraft Discrepancy Record; summarizing what had occurred.
