COMMUTER ABORT TKOF AS STALL AVOIDANCE SYS IS FAULTY. LATER FERRIED ACFT WITHOUT PROPER LOGBOOK SIGN OFF.

Narrative

I ABORTED TKOF AT BFL DUE TO A FAULTY STALL AVOIDANCE SYS DURING TKOF ROLL. THERE WAS NO EMER AND I TAXIED TO THE GATE AND DE-PLANED THE PAX. I FIRST CONTACTED MY MAINT CTL FACILITY AND RPTED THE PROBLEM ON THE 'TELESIS' RADIO SYS. I WROTE-UP THE MALFUNCTION AND WENT TO THE TERMINAL TO CONTACT MAINT BY TELEPHONE (MY 2ND CONTACT) THEY ADVISED ME THEY WERE IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING A FERRY PERMIT SO I COULD FLY BACK TO (SBP.) I SPOKE TO MAINT CTL AN ADDITIONAL TIME ASKING HIM IF THERE WAS ANYTHING ELSE I NEEDED TO DO. THEY SAID YES; READ THE PERMIT AND IT WOULD SHOW THE STALL AVOIDANCE SYS NEEDED TO BE IN THE OFF POS. SO CONFIRMED IT WAS OFF PRIOR TO DEP. THAT WAS THE END OF MY COM WITH MAINT CTL UNTIL I ARRIVED AT SBP. WHEN I ARRIVED AT SBP AND CONTRACTED MAINT CTL AGAIN; THEY SAID THEY WOULD TALK TO ME INSIDE (OFF THE RADIO FREQ.) WHEN INSIDE MAINT CTL I WAS TOLD THAT I TOOK OFF TOO FAST AND THAT A CONTRACTED MAINT MECH WAS SUPPOSED TO SIGN OFF (OR BAL) THE MAINT LOG. I WAS TOLD BY THE MAINT CTL AGENT THAT HE WOULDN'T SAY ANYTHING AND THAT WOULD BE THE END OF IT. I'M WRITING THIS RPT HOPING IT IS THE END OF IT! THE PROPER WAY OR THE DISCREPANCY TO BE HANDLED WAS TO GET A FERRY PERMIT; GET A MAINT SIGN OFF. THE MAINT SIGN OFF WAS NOT COMPLETED. NOTE: FIRST FERRY FLT AS AN LTT CAPT.
