Synopsis
Air carrier dispatcher reported aircraft on go around due to turbulence experienced a wingtip strike.
Narrative
After departure; we sent a PIREP to the crew concerning TB SEV CONS CAT 120-140 that was issued 3 minutes after flying. Approaching ZZZ; flight XXX began to hold to the west. All that was sent was 'holding efc 0245'. At this point I had to assume that the holding was due to the severe turb reported ahead; but never got confirmation from the crew. My trainer and I worked up a diversion plan for ZZZ1 and sent that. The crew promptly accepted the plan. The flight did 2 turns and then we saw it was released into ZZZ and the SEV PIREP had expired as it was an hour old with no new reports greater than moderate. We then turned my attention to multiple other issues arising on the desk due to the turb issues all over ZZZ that night. Next message from the crew was that they were heading in. We acknowledged. After that; we got a fusion notification of a potential go-around for flight XXX. I had mentioned that i saw a flight ahead that was taking a while to exit the runway; so we surmised that the go-around was due to ATC separation. This was right about the time that a ramp freeze was due to go into effect at ZZZ due to aircraft departing. With how long the flight held; and now the potential longer delay due to the VIP movement; I was waiting for the crew to message that they were going to divert to ZZZ1.While waiting for that message; the other issues on the desk were ongoing so our attention was again diverted away from flight XXX. The next thing we remember is seeing them on the ground and continued working the desk. It was not until after we left at 2200 that the dispatcher who we turned the desk over to received a call from the Captain explaining what happened on the go-around. I do not have the details of the call. Aircraft went around on approach striking wingtip
