AN ACR WDB CREW HAD PROBLEMS WITH THEIR AIRSPD INDICATOR; RUDDER TRAVEL INDICATOR; GND SPOILER; ENG REVERSER; AND ANTI-SKID SYS. THERE WAS ELECTRICAL SMOKE AND 2 BRAKE FIRES.

Narrative

ON TKOF ROLL FROM LAX THE CAPT'S AIRSPD INDICATOR DID NOT WORK. THE TKOF WAS CONTINUED USING THE STANDBY AIRSPD INDICATOR. ON CLB OUT THE CAPT'S AIRSPD INDICATOR BEGAN TO INDICATE AN ACCELERATION PAST THE MMO. WE SWITCHED TO THE #2 AIR DATA COMPUTER AT THIS POINT AND THE INDICATIONS BECAME NORMAL. ON DSCNT TO DEN THE RUDDER TRAVEL FAULT LIGHT CAME ON AND WOULD NOT RESET. WE CONTINUED ON THE APCH FOR A NORMAL TOUCHDOWN. AT TOUCHDOWN THE GND SPOILER; WHICH WAS ARMED; FAILED TO DEPLOY; THE #2 ENG THRUST REVERSER WOULD NOT UNLOCK OR REVERSE; AND BRAKES #5; #6; AND #8 ALL SHOWED 'R' FOR RELEASE. THEY DID NOT WORK. WE BROUGHT THE ACFT TO A STOP USING THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE RWY 26L. WE TAXIED TO GATE AND PARKED. (ON FINAL APCH; IT IS ALSO WORTH MENTION THAT THERE WAS A STRONG SMELL OF ELECTRICAL SMOKE IN THE CABIN; THOUGH NONE WAS OBSERVED). AT THE GATE; WE DISCOVERED THAT 2 BRAKES WERE ON FIRE AND THE OTHER 3 WERE SMOKING HEAVILY. AFTER SOME TIME; DEN MAINT INFORMED US THAT 1) #1 AIR DATA COMPUTER WAS FOUND UNPLUGGED; 2) #2 THRUST REVERSER HAD PARTS MISSING/NOT PUT ON OR RE- ASSEMBLED AFTER MAINT IN LAX; AND 3) BRAKES #5; #6; AND #8 HAD PARTS MISSING AND/OR NOT RE-ASSEMBLED AFTER MAINT IN LAX.
