Synopsis

Air carrier Captain reported the Tower Controller did not call for a go around when the Captain's aircraft was in a critical ground conflict situation.

Narrative

Flight XXXX on approach to 35LApproach assigns us 170 its or faster to the marker.Check in with Tower.....we are 20 kts. overtaking traffic ahead.....at approximately 180.We configure aircraft immediately to Flaps 30 and Vref under SOPsSpacing at approximately 700 feet looks good with aircraft approaching the first high speed turn off.Airline Y does not turn off at first high speed and finally turns off at second high speed M7.Speed of Airline Y slow and the nose of aircraft is approaching or on the hold short line.Tail of aircraft is just off runway white paint.....still on runway side of hold short bars.I call for the go around at approximately 100 feet as there is no way the aircraft will clear in time.ATC did not advise Airline Y of traffic behindATC did not call a go around.ATC asked reason for go around (seemed not to be aware of Aircraft Y position)Came back around and landed 35R with no issues.Once clear of runway; I asked/said on radio phone number"Ground XXX.XX.....'If you ask me nicely I may give it to you""
