Synopsis

Student pilot on solo flight reported another aircraft flew over them during landing at a non-towered airport.

Narrative

Today as a student pilot on my third solo flight flew a standard teardrop onto the 45 for a right downwind XX at ZZZ. Only three other planes making radio calls in the pattern at the time. Once established on downwind everything was setting up nicely. Turned right base continued to get on speed and set myself up for final. Turned final and made the radio call. At this point I began hearing mayday calls over the radio seven miles south of the field. I elected to continue landing to a full stop to clear the area for the mayday traffic if needed. I was over the runway almost to a flare when I hear go around and see a plane fly pretty close above me for the go around.I am not sure how we got so close to each other. I did not see them when flying the pattern or hear them on the radio. A lot of hecticness with the mayday calls could have resulted in me missing a call that they were on an extended final. Taking it personally I was hyper focused being on final and close to the runway. For the corrective action would be to divide my attention. Work on not hyper focusing. With experience this will come. Also making sure I'm still caged even when things start going another direction in critical phases of flight. Corrective action for other plane I think would be to announce position. I don't think I cut them off but if I did they never announced their position. I was the lower aircraft so I had priority. A lot was happening at once but will continue to get better with each flight!
