C-150 pilot reported NMAC with another aircraft at a non-towered airport during takeoff climb.
Synopsis
C-150 pilot reported NMAC with another aircraft at a non-towered airport during takeoff climb.
Narrative
While holding short of Runway XX on taxiway 1; at At ZZZ; I made a call that I was taking off from Runway XX at [taxiway] 1. I waited a second for any radio chatter; looked up and down the runway; then lined up. Thereafter I began my take off roll. On rotation I suddenly say another aircraft at the other end of the runway; taking off. At about 100 feet I turned to the right to avoid the oncoming aircraft. Upon seeing me; the aircraft continued it's takeoff roll and ascended; also turning to its right. We avoided each other by a couple hundred feet. I vehemently stated on the radio 'I'm on the upwind Runway XX;' to which he replied 'yeah I made a call but you obviously didn't hear me.'After reviewing the ATC audio; there was no communication by this aircraft on frequency; until after the near miss. The runway at ZZZ is so long; that it has a bend to it so it can be difficult to see the other end in a C 150. At the time of day; the heat of the runway was also obscuring the view of the departure end with the mirage effect; so me seeing the other aircraft could only happen after getting closer; by which time it could be too late to avoid collision. If I had heard him make a call; I would have said something or moved off the runway. Seems the other pilot did not think to acknowledge or test his radio when I did not respond to a call; that clearly contradicted his own call; and put us both at risk.
