Synopsis
Flight Instructor with student reported observing an NMAC at a non-towered airport when a military jet performed a touch-and-go on a runway that was not being used by the other traffic and overflew an aircraft in the pattern.
Narrative
On Day 0 at approximately XA:15; I was halfway through a training lesson with a student performing pattern work at RTS. Myself and at least three other GA aircraft were doing touch and gos in a left traffic pattern on Runway 8. Aircraft Y announced on the CTAF that they were inbound from the North. As my student and I turned to the left downwind of Runway 8; Aircraft Y announced a left downwind for Runway 14 and a touch and go. These two runways intersect at their departure ends. The aircraft we were following in the pattern was another Aircraft Z. As we turned final on Runway 8; about one NM from the threshold; Aircraft Z was on the departure leg for the runway around 500 ft. AGL. At this time Aircraft Y had concluded their touch and go on Runway 14 and was on their respective departure leg intersecting the flight path and overflying Aircraft Z. I could not tell their lateral separation from my position; but I could see that during the intersection of the two aircrafts departure paths; both aircraft were below 1000 ft. AGL and near the departure ends of the two intersecting runways. After climbing Aircraft Y departed the airport to the North before returning and ultimately landing on Runway 14 as other aircraft continued in the traffic pattern for Runway 8.
