Synopsis

CE-550 pilot reported an engine failed during initial climb. Flight crew returned to the departure airport and landed safely.

Narrative

Taking off at approximately 200 feet; the compartment door opened. forward of luggage; following in sequence the explosion of engine No2; turning off the engine and the amber Reverse Unlock light; we immediately proceeded to put the SW of that engine in the [priority handling] position; by procedure. The stick shaker rang for a second without However; the indication was not real; since we had a speed of 120kts indicated and the angle attack instrument marked us well away from the white bow; plus we were with the flaps in Take Off; we decided at that moment to return to the field and land asking the assistance of [priority handling] equipment as prevention; which was notified to the Control tower. The approach and landing were made. The aircraft continued to be evacuated For prevention; giving passengers the proper instruction to get off immediately. without taking down your belongings. When we reached the loading ramp; there were already 3 fire trucks. It was there when we got off the plane that we were able to realize that the plane's canvas protectors They had gotten inside the turbine; causing the explosion and stoppage of engine 2. We also observed that the door was held only by a rivet on the side. left. I note that by procedure before taking off the only SW and light that What remains pending is the Pitot Heater; which is activated before takeoff to prevent the element from melting; since it has a limitation of 2 minutes ON on the ground; and at Activating them is said by the Pitot On NO LIGHT procedure on the light annunciator panel. I want to make it clear that at no time did the DOOR Open LIGHT come on even when start the engines or during the takeoff run; since the corresponding safety It was in the closed position (KEY SWITCH) and the 2 latches were secured. The corresponding tests were carried out on land with the inspectors. Second reporter narrative

Departing from runway XX at 200 feet the right nose baggage compartment opens. 30 seconds after the right engine explodes and quits the engine; then the T/R UNLOCK from right engine illuminate; and we put the T/R SW to the [priority handling] position. We [requested priority handling] to the tower and request ground support. We make a short base and land without any problem. i want to explain that in the AFTER START ENGINES ; AND BEFORE TAKE OFF CHECK LIST THE DOOR NOT LOCKED LIGHT DID NOT COME ON. the anunciator panel shows NO LIGHTS. When we land we check the SW position and was in the vertical lock position.
