Synopsis
Pilot reported a critical ground conflict after an opposite direction aircraft landed at the same time. The aircraft was not communicating on frequency due to a mechanical problem.
Narrative
I was alone in the traffic pattern at ZZZ; completing and practicing my landings. Making all the appropriate position calls I made final in a power off 180. Once I touched down and started slowing down I saw the shape of a plane taking on Runway XX. Fearing that this aircraft was taking off I started making radio calls to try and contact this pilot; and slow down as fast as possible to prepare to take the plane off roading to avoid a possible collision. When the opposing plane got closer he veered off to the right while I veered to my left. We both slowed down enough that we didn't pass each other on the runway and were able to taxi off the same taxi way. Upon him passing; I saw that it was an acrobatic aircraft without a canopy and the pilot had no headset. I followed him to the ramp to debrief with him to understand what exactly happened. After shutting down I walked over to discover that this pilot was executing acrobatic manovers when his canopy tore off; taking his headset with it. He explained that he was just looking for a safe place to land and ZZZ was the closest spot. I stayed with him until someone that seemed to know him came out and started talking with him. I got back in plane and made my way back to ZZZ1 without further incident.
