Synopsis
B777 Captain reported a notice of possible GPS jamming is easily overlooked being illogically located in flight papers and dispatched brief. Captain reported this critical approach fix is a short distance from a DMZ and possible sensitive areas.
Narrative
Airspace ZZZZ (utilized by ZZZZ/ZZZZ and ZZZZ1/ZZZZ1 flights) and airport ZZZZ have GPS Interference" per a enroute NOTAM easily missed on the flight papers ('Page XX of YY' per the Dispatch message); but on our papers it's on page XXX). We didn't see this NOTAM on our inbound flight...dozens [of] pages of Crew Alert and NOTAMs; we missed it. Suggestion: The threat of GPS interference in this airspace and flights operating ZZZZ1 and ZZZZ should be added to Bulletin 'XXX.'Specific FOM Pre-departure Interference procedures should have specific flight manual guidance pages noted in the bulletin for easy reference if pre-departure procedures are not included in an updated bulletin. The threat of GPS interference in this airspace and flights operating ZZZZ1 and ZZZZ should be added to the Flight Plan (it was on our outbound flight; not on the inbound). The threat of GPS interference in this airspace and flights operating ZZZZ1 and ZZZZ should be added to the Dispatcher briefing. I did chat with Person A via ACARS on this and he mentioned he'd pass this along; This is to document the request. The above actions will ensure the flight crew is aware and can this threat mitigate early vs. experience it on arrival or departure; I can only imagine that experiencing spoofing or unreliability especially in this area is a very big threat. Our arrival was to RWY XXR; and the Initial Fix ZZZZZ is literally X miles from the Location A border. GPS unreliability near Location A? No thanks; yet we faced that threat yesterday. I take full responsibility for missing the NOTAM buried in the flight papers. It wasn't on the ATIS on arrival; nor in the dispatch briefing or Flight Plan; although the NOTAM was active. More awareness needs to be available to the flight crew regarding this threat. When I read the Bulletin back in May; I thought to myself; "I don't fly to any of these places; except perhaps ZZZZ2 and when ZZZ ZZZZ2 comes back; it's noted as a threat". Not an excuse; just a thought process in this time of information overload :) ATIS: GPS is UNRELIABLE/NOTAM "Jamming and Spoofing" and therefore GPS is unusable. On departure; we were happy to fly with DME-DME on our IFR departure north (again; very close to the border) yesterday and this FOM procedure works fine. We created a reminder to go back to GPS ON/INHIBIT ON after ZZZZ airspace. Summary; I've beat the dead horse; teamwork and awareness is key to mitigate the threat of GPS spoofing and inadvertently straying into Location A Airspace!!!"
