UNAUTHORIZED LNDG ON TAXIWAY.

Narrative

I WAS ON FINAL FOR RWY 23R. FINALLY; I REALIZED THAT I WAS NOT OVER THE END OF THE RWY AT APPROX 25 FT; BUT WAS OVER WHAT WAS UNFAMILIAR MARKINGS FOR A RWY. I MADE A FEW GLANCES TO DETERMINE THE PROBLEM; THE STALL WARNING STARTED BLOWING WHEN ONLY 10 OR SO FT ABOVE THE GND AND I MADE A BOUNCY LNDG STRAIGHT AHEAD. AFTER LNDG; I WAS ADVISED I HAD LANDED ON A TAXIWAY INSTEAD OF THE RWY. PERHAPS A GAR WOULD HAVE BEEN A BETTER DECISION BUT IT WAS TOO LATE TO THINK OF THAT WITH THE STALL WARNING BLOWING AND ONLY A FEW FT OFF THE GND. AFTER RECOVERING MY COMPOSURE A FEW HRS LATER; I BELIEVE THAT THE PROBLEM WAS CAUSED BY MY TAKING A FINAL LOOK AT THE CHART TO RECHK MY MEMORY OF THE TAXIWAYS AS THE ATIS WAS GIVING SOME SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS THAT LARGE JETS WERE NOT TO USE CERTAIN TAXIWAYS. I BELIEVE I MUST HAVE GIVEN MORE TIME TO THIS THAN I REALIZED AND WHEN I LOOKED OUT I WAS AT THE WRONG SPOT OVER THE ARPT AND IN THE SUDDEN DECISION MAKING PROCESS I ELECTED TO LAND STRAIGHT AHEAD INSTEAD OF GOING AROUND. I HAD ADEQUATE REST THE 2 NIGHTS BEFORE THE FLT; MY HEALTH WAS GOOD; I DO NOT USE ANY MEDICATIONS. I HAVE LEARNED NEVER TO TAKE MY ATTN FROM THE FULL TIME JOB OF LNDG A PLANE PROPERLY AND; IF NECESSARY; TO RECHK TAXI CHART AFTER LNDG INSTEAD OF JUST BEFORE.
