Synopsis

Air Taxi flight crew reported during landing the aircraft landed with the pilot flying applying the brakes resulting in the nose wheel coming down hard on the runway.

Narrative

At approximately XA00z on Day 0 the above listed crew reported for duty at ZZZ1 to fly 4 legs; Aircraft Y; Z; A; and B. During the crew briefing Person C stated that she wasn't feeling but said that she was okay to make it through the day. I offered and Person A jumped in to offer help in anyway we could throughout the day.At XG15z (1) Aircraft A touched down on runway XXR at ZZZ; FO Person B (myself) flying. The mains touched down; my feet slipped up on the rudder pedals causing an application of the brakes; and the nose wheel came down hard. The aircraft was taxied via [Taxiway] 1 and [Taxiway] 2 to Location X. After the passengers disembarked I went to the rear of the aircraft to reset the cabin; Person A followed; beginning in the middle of the aircraft and Person C started at the front rows. We completed these duties; I requested to go into Location X to use the restroom and asked if they'd like me to pick up anything for them; Person C and Person A declined. Upon my return to the aircraft Person C was working in the galley; she was quiet. I apologized to her for the nose wheel coming down hard; she said that she was fine.I do not know if Person A reported the hard nose wheel touch down to ZZZ maintenance. I do not see an entry in Location Y. We returned to ZZZ1; completed our duties and left the station. It was reported to me via an email query on Day 30 at XB17z from the Chief Pilot; Person D; that the flight attendant had reported an injury due to a possible hard landing.Cause - My feet slipped upwards on the rudders.Suggestions - Review of the EMB-135 AOM does not indicate if these should have grip paint on the surfaces so I will Inspect the rudder pedals more closely prior to flight.

Second reporter narrative

Landing in ZZZ the FO landed while applying the brakes. The mains touchdown was a normal and decent landing. Where the nosewheel came down rapidly and harder than necessary touchdown of the nose. Cause: The first officer landed with the brakes already applied. This sent the nose down rapidly hitting harder than normal. After a post flight inspection I determined there was no need for a Location Y entry. The steering was normal and the shock strut was normal.Suggestions: The selection above is for 'Errors and Violations' and the correct answer is 'wrong response to a normal situation.' I can take controls of the yoke; rudders; and throttle; but I cannot override control of the brakes from the FO side.
