MLG LANDED ON OCCUPIED RWY HAD LTSS FROM ACR X. SYS ERROR.

Narrative

ACR X LANDED AT DEN ON RWY 26L; ROLLED TO THE END; TAXIED ON THE CTR TAXIWAY BTWN THE RWYS TO C4 AS INSTRUCTED; AND HELD SHORT. AFTER ANOTHER ACFT LANDED ON RWY 26R; WE WERE 'CLRED TO CROSS RWY 26R; CONTACT GND ON 121.9;' ETC. AS WE STARTED TO ROLL FORWARD; THE TWR CTLR TOLD US TO EXPEDITE; THEN AMENDED THAT TO HOLD OUR POS. SO WE STOPPED; WELL PAST THE HOLD SHORT LINE BY NOW. WE INFORMED THE TWR THAT WE WERE ENCROACHING ON THE RWY AND RECEIVED A 'ROGER.' AN MLG WAS ABOUT TO LAND ON RWY 26R SO WE TOLD THE TWR TO TELL THE LNDG ACFT THAT WE WERE ENCROACHING ON THE RWY. SO HE SENT THE ACFT ON RWY 26L AROUND! THE ACFT ON RWY 26R LANDED ANYWAY. I THEN ASKED TWR IF WE COULD CROSS THE RWY AND WAS TOLD TO HOLD POS. ANOTHER ACFT WAS APCHING RWY 26R AT THIS TIME. AGAIN; I TOLD THE TWR WE WERE ENCROACHING ON THE RWY; AND THE REPLY WAS 'ROGER.' THEN; I ASKED IF WE COULD GET OFF THE RWY; AND WAS TOLD TO HOLD POS. AS THE LNDG ACFT WAS ABOUT TO TOUCH DOWN; I TOLD THE TWR TO TELL THE LNDG ACFT THAT WE WERE ON THE RWY; AND THE TWR THEN SENT THAT ACFT AROUND. SIX TIMES I TOLD THE CTLR THAT WE WERE NOT CLR OF THE RWY; AND I DON'T BELIEVE HE EVER RECOGNIZED WHAT WAS HAPPENING. CONVERSATIONS AFTERWARD LEAD ME TO BELIEVE THE CTLR WAS A TRAINEE; WHICH IS FINE; BUT WHERE WAS THE TRAINER? TRAINING SITUATIONS NEED CLOSER SUPERVISION TO PRECLUDE WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN A DISASTROUS OUTCOME.
