Synopsis

Recreational / Hobbyist UAS pilot reported inadvertently flying into a TFR for several moments. They exited once the incursion was noticed.

Narrative

I live in ZZZ and at the time of the incident; there was a TFR that extended just over my house. The TFR was for the sports event. However; the park near my house; was just outside of the TFR; so I decided to go over to the park to fly. I got over there and confirmed I was outside the TFR and then began flying around (for fun; not for commercial purposes). Around 10 minutes into my flight; I looked down at the map to confirm the drones' location (which I also had in sight); and at that moment I accidentally crossed into the TFR. I saw this on the map and immediately turned the drone around and exited the TFR. I only incurred into the TFR by 20-30 feet; so I was able to quickly get out of it. I feel this accident was caused simply by human error; as I am a fairly new drone pilot. In the future; I will make sure to fly further away from the edge of TFRs and be more vigilant in watching the map of my drone and keeping it away from TFRs. I also want to specify that this was 100% an accident. At no point in the flight did I intend to enter the TFR; and I exited the TFR as soon as I realized I was in it.
