Narrative
Around XA:40 pm while in my brace position; conducting my 30 second review I noticed that during the approach; something hit the plane. I heard a little boom noise that came from the back of the plane while the plane shook a lil bit. At first I was like we probably hit a bird but knew something was odd because there was a fishy smell that took over the cabin. A few seconds later we had landed. I saw the face of the passengers looking at each other like what is that smell?". I then grabbed the phone to let the flight deck know I heard a boom and the cabin smells fishy or either something dead. But before I could hit the button the captain made an announcement of what happened. He stated that "We hit a bird coming into ZZZ; and we lost one of the engines" After the announcement the captain called me using the button to let me know that we are going to wait for the fire trucks to come inspect. Everyone on the plane was calm; some even looked like they didn't know what happened because they still were half asleep."
