Synopsis
A300 First Officer reported an unstablized approach when the aircraft slowed below reference speed resulting in a bounced landing. The crew performed a go around and the aircraft tail struck the runway as reported by maintenance during an inspection after landing.
Narrative
On approach to runway XXR in ZZZ aircraft was stabilized well prior to 1000 ft at about 100' the aircraft was about 5 knots slow and I alerted the PF that we were slow; the PF added power; the airplane touched down; and bounced up into the air; the spoilers had not deployed as confirmed by the ecam; the PF began to derotate and it felt like the main wheels were not on the ground and the spoilers still had not deployed; i stated we are still airborne; we bounced". A go around was called and carried out; during the go around the tail touched the runway as observed by maintenance. We didn't feel the tail touch the runway. I don't feel it was a hard initial touchdown; but with the thrust not at idle the spoilers didn't deploy which caused the plane to skip off the ground.Thrust not being at idle at touchdown caused the spoilers not to deploy and airplane to skip off the runway. Advancing thrust and retracting flaps diverted my attention from monitoring the pitch attitude on rotation off the runway."
