Synopsis
First Officer reported a taxi deviation at BFI which resulted in taxiing on a taxiway that was not suitable for the aircraft's wingspan. The First Officer indicated there was no advisory from ATC regarding wingspan restrictions.
Narrative
I was operating as the second in command (SIC) undergoing Progressive IOE on board Aircraft X from ZZZ to BFI. Upon landing at BFI on Runway 14R; the pilot in command (PIC) exited the runway via Taxiway A9. I was instructed by the Tower Controller to contact Ground Control upon exiting. Ground Control instructed us to taxi to the ramp via A9-Left turn A. The PIC joined A from A9. I cleared the right side and proceeded to complete the After Landing Checklist. I did not notice an entry point for the ramp from the right so the PIC continued to taxi towards what appeared to be a well lit hangar with some aircraft activity on the outside. Ground Control advised us that we had passed the ramp and to make a 180 degree turn on A near A1 and to advise when the aircraft was proceeding south on A. I cleared the aircraft on the right and the PIC made a 180 degree turn. I advised ATC that the aircraft was proceeding south on Taxiway A. Ground Control instructed us to taxi south on A to the ramp. I pointed the location of the ramp to the PIC on the right Primary Flight Display (PFD) where the Chart was displayed and we proceeded south on A. I saw traffic landing on 14R from the right window. I did not see any other aircraft. Just short of the ramp we were instructed by Ground Control to hold our position. Once cleared to taxi; the PIC taxied the aircraft to the FBO Ramp. Suggestions:-In high congested areas; wait to complete the after landing checklist or come to a complete stop until the necessary checklists have been completed. -Discuss potential threats and mitigation strategies when operating in unfamiliar airports.-Wait to conduct training at a more suitable time to avoid distractions. The PIC mentioned the Isolation Valve CAS Message multiple times during the taxi which in his opinion was abnormal for the bleed configuration. -The Airport Operations Staff advised us that the distance from the centerline of the taxiway to the Runway Boundary Sign is 24 feet which is not suitable for the wingspan of Aircraft X. The note on the Airport Diagram only lists a restriction of 108 feet. -There was no advisory from Ground Control to offset or to watch for traffic in that area.
Second reporter narrative
I completed preflight of Aircraft Y according to standard checklist around XA:15; all lights were functional and everything was nominal. I pulled the plane out as part of standard operating procedure and started the engine; completed my pre-taxi checklist; I had my transponder on; NAV Lights; Beacon and Taxi lights on. I got the ATIS; 'KBFI XB53Z 00000KT 10SM CLR 17/08 A3018 Expect Runway 14L' Taxied up to the movement line and did my brake check; then called ground on 121.9. Asked for closed traffic with X-Ray. Ground cleared me to taxi to Alpha 2 via Alpha for 14L. They told me to be aware of a Jet taxiing on Alpha to the ramp; which is prior to A2. I confirmed I could see the Jet and repeated back the instructions. The Jet did not seem to be stopping or turning so I held to allow it to pass; Ground radioed the Jet and asked where they were going to which they replied the ramp. Ground then instructed them to head to A1 and do a 180 there to come back; and the ramp would be on their left. They then told me to pass behind the Jet; I confirmed that I would pass behind the jet; waited for the jet to pass and provide some space to avoid jet blast; then began taxiing across while there were some trucks along that road that were waiting for me to pass
