Synopsis
Flight Instructor reported while departing having to take evasive action to avoid a collision with an aircraft that departed the parallel runway;
Narrative
During a training flight; our aircraft was on climb out from 30R. My student had flown the upwind nearly perfect; with slight drift to the right; which is away from the parallel runway 30L. At 1;100ft MSL; I observed Aircraft Y slightly at our left and 100ft above us; overtaking us from what appeared to be behind us. Later; I learned they had departed the parallel 30L and drifted over. I immediately pushed the nose down to stop the climb. I asked ATC to confirm they were for the other runway which they did; stating 'they drifted over due to the wind.' I let ATC [know] that they were far too close to comfort and safe operations. Other aircraft on the ground had advised myself that to them; the aircraft had gotten 'very; very close.' For reference; my iPad operating on Firelight with ADS-B from a Sentry showed traffic at 0ft vertically from us and our aircraft with ADS-B in showed traffic at +1; indicating +100ft.In order to avoid this circumstance again; three things should occur. Number one; despite a windy day; aircraft must fly their upwind path accordingly. Number two; be aware of your surroundings to other aircraft. Lastly; ATC should have taken action and advised the pilot of their actions.
