DSCNT PROC EMER DSCNT EXECUTED AFTER MULTIPLE ACFT EQUIP MALFUNCTIONS PROBLEMS DURING OVERWATER OP.

Narrative

ACFT HAD A HISTORY OF #2 BLEED FAULTING; PLUS ON STARTUP JFK; #1 PACK VALUE LIGHT STAYED ON (PARIS MAINT LATER DETERMINED THE #1 HP VALVE WAS STICKING). NUMEROUS LOUD AIR SURGES NOTED IN CRUISE. AT FL370 #2 BLEED VALVE FAULTED. TRIED TO RESET; BUT IT FAULTED AGAIN. TURNED #2 BLEED OFF AS PER CHKLIST AND PROCEEDED WITH #1 BLEED SUPPLYING PRESSURIZATION. AFTER A PARTICULARLY LOUD SURGE OF AIR; I NOTED FLOW INDICATIONS ON ECAM BLEED PAGE SIMULTANEOUSLY GO FROM LOW TO HIGH. CABIN BEGAN TO CLB AS APU WAS USED UNSUCCESSFULLY. EMER DSCNT WAS BEGUN WITH CLRNC FROM BREAST CTL. DURING DSCNT; IT WAS DISCOVERED BOTH OUTFLOW VALVES WERE OPEN. ALSO; #1 AUTO PRESSURIZATION CTLR HAD FAILED AND IT HAD ALSO FAILED TO AUTOMATICALLY SWITCH OVER TO #2 CTLR AS IT SHOULD HAVE. AT 14000 FT OXYGEN MASKS DEPLOYED. WE LEVELED OFF AT 10000 FT AND WERE SOON ABLE TO REGAIN CTL OF THE PRESSURIZATION SYS BY SWITCHING MANUALLY OVER TO #2 AUTO CTLR. THE ERRANT #2 BLEED VALUE ALSO RESET. ALL PAX AND CREW WERE OK AND FLT LANDED IN ORLY UNEVENTFULLY.
