Narrative
I TOOK OFF FROM SUS ACTING AS PIC WITH MR. X AS PNF; IN COPLT SEAT AND 3 OTHER PAX ABOARD IN BACK. APPROX 1600 POUNDS OF JET FUEL WAS ABOARD. DEST WAS K15 ON AN IFR FLT PLAN. ALT (CRUISE) WAS 8000 FT MSL; ZKC (124.1) GAVE ME WX AT AIZ AS M700 AND 10 MI VISIBILITY WIND 040/05 ALTIMETER 30.21 AND THAT THE LAST ACFT TO TRY AN APCH INTO K15 DID A MISSED APCH AND LANDED AT AIZ. MR. Y; MY BOSS AND ACFT OWNER; WAS ABOARD AS PAX SO HE AND MR. X SWITCHED SEATS; MR. Y THEN ACTED AS COPLT TO HELP ON THE APCH. CROSSED SHY VOR AT 3200 MSL AND TURNED TO 313 DEGS TO INITIALIZE THE APCH. FLAPS WERE SET AT 15 DEGS AND GEAR DOWN AND LOCKED. DSNDED IN THE CLOUDS; AT APPROX 2800 FT MSL TILL 1500 FT MSL. CALLED ZKC TO CANCEL 'RWY IN SIGHT WITH GOOD VISIBILITY AT 1400 FT MSL.' AS I FLEW ON TOWARDS THE RWY FOR LNDG; MR. Y PUT IN SOME MORE FLAPS (1/2 WAY) SLOWING TO BLUE LINE FOR LNDG (110 KTS) AND ALIGNED WITH RWY FOR LNDG. MR. Y PUT IN FULL FLAPS AND I STARTED FLARING FOR THE TOUCHDOWN; HOLDING BACK ON THE THUMB TRIM SWITCH. I FELT THE ACFT DROP DOWN WHAT SEEMED TO BE THE FINAL 10 OR 20 FT TO THE GND SUDDENLY AND FELT THE GEAR HIT HARD. I THOUGHT I HAD BLOWN A TIRE. SLOWING THE AIRPLANE WITH PROP THRUST REVERSE THE AIRPLANE WAS SOMEWHAT DIFFICULT TO CTL. AS WE WENT THROUGH MID-FIELD; IT BECAME MORE DIFFICULT TO TRACK STRAIGHT; SO I STOPPED USING PROP REVERSE AND BRAKED TO A STOP ON THE RWY APPROX 450 FT FROM THE W END. I SHUT DOWN THE AIRPLANE AND ALL ABOARD DEPLANED.
