Narrative

We had an emergency landing on our flight from ZZZ1 to ZZZ2 and had to divert to ZZZ. During landing after preparing cabin for arrival and both FAs (Flight Attendants) sitting in our jump seats; the CA called us to inform he and the FO heard strange clicking noises from the nose gear when the landing gear was activated. To be on the safe side he told us we would go around and try again and see if they continued to hear those sounds. If the sounds were heard again we would divert to ZZZ and need to prepare the cabin for an emergency landing. Shortly after we went around to try again he called us on the call and told us the sounds continued so we were diverting and would have to prepare for an emergency landing. He asked if 10 minutes would be enough to prepare for the planned emergency landing and we said it was enough time. After receiving the call for an emergency landing we both quickly retrieved our emergency landing checklist from underneath our jump seats and met in the fwd galley. We turned all the lights to bright and followed the checklist. The Purser did demos in the aisle while I did the announcement. After the announcements we went through the proper procedures including making sure everyone knew their brace position and brace command; where the nearest exits were; and when and how to evacuate if it came down to that. ABPs (Able-bodied Passengers) were also briefed on doors in case of an evacuation. We remained calm and collective while still keeping a sense of urgency. We made sure questions and concerns were addressed and reassured the pax that were scared. After preparing the cabin and completing our checklist I returned to my jumpseat and called the Purser to notify her that I was secure. We waited for the Captain to give the brace command and when he did we began giving our brace commands loud and clear. We safely landed and the captain made an announcement that everything was safe and that we would be taxing to the gate to deplane. I checked for any fire; debris; or smoke outside of the windows just in case. We arrived at the gate and safely got all of the pax off. We collected our things and got off as well as maintenance came on to check plane.
