Synopsis
General aviation student pilot reported a near miss with another aircraft during cruise flight. The student pilot maneuvered away from the other aircraft.
Narrative
I was trying to get and log another X.X hours for my X required hours for my private pilot license and decided on this beautiful day that I would be able to accomplish my requirements. Everything was normal on takeoff and decided to do a climbing turn to 3500 feet msl. As I was directing to my heading I also have an ipad with foreflight for my navigation and my live traffic awareness. When I reached my desired heading and my desired altitude I checked for traffic since it was a beautiful day and the ramp was already busy along with the traffic pattern. I noticed an issue when I saw an arrow coming right towards me on foreflight at my altitude and heading however this aircraft was 40 knots faster than me. I tried to maintain situational awareness and check for this aircraft but to no avail. I did a steep hard right bank after acknowledging my right of way rules from my training and called the tail number of this aircraft three times which on the third try they answered with 'how can I help' I told them that I did a hard right bank to avoid them and by this time I was already level almost about heading directly west. It was at this time that I noticed them off my left wing about 500 feet at the altitude I was at. I did ask Milwaukee approach for VFR flight following and told them that I had a near miss which triggered an investigation and a phone number.
