RWY EXCURSION AFTER PVT PLT IN SMA TOUCHES DOWN IN LNDG PROC ROLLOUT.

Narrative

I WAS ALIGNED WITH THE RWY AND DSNDING TO THE DECISION HEIGHT. WHEN I CROSSED THE MM I PUT IN 10 DEGS OF FLAPS AND THEN TO 30 DEGS. THE PLANE BALLOONED A LITTLE; BUT THERE WAS A FAIRLY LONG DISPLACED THRESHOLD; SO I WASN'T TOO CONCERNED. I BEGAN MY FLARE FOR THE LNDG AND THE 2 MAIN WHEELS TOUCHED DOWN. I HELD OFF THE NOSE WHEEL FOR A FEW SECONDS AND THEN IT LOWERED TO THE GND. WHEN IT TOUCHED DOWN THE PLANE BEGAN TO VEER TO THE L SIDE OF THE RWY. I PUT IN RUDDER CORRECTION TO STRAIGHTEN IT OUT BUT THE PLANE CONTINUED TO THE L. I PULLED THE PWR OUT AND APPLIED THE BRAKES; HOWEVER THE PLANE CONTINUED IN ITS ARCING PATH TO THE L. THE PLANE APCHED AN INTXN AND WENT OFF THE RWY AND THE L WING STRUT STRUCK A DISTANCE MARKER. SHORTLY AFTER THE PLANE CAME TO A STOP; PERPENDICULAR TO RWY 32. I SHUT THE AIRPLANE DOWN AND GOT OUT TO INSPECT THE DAMAGE. THE DISTANCE MARKER HAD FALLEN DOWN (NOTE: THE DISTANCE MARKER DID NOT HAVE THE PROPER COUPLINGS ANCHORING IT TO THE GND). THE WING STRUT WAS DENTED AND BENT BACKWARD; OTHERWISE NO OTHER VISIBLE DAMAGE COULD BE SEEN. RPTS WERE FILED WITH THE FIRE DEPT AND LCL FSDO.
