Synopsis

Cessna T206H pilot reported suspected fuel contamination and the need for theirs and another pilot's aircraft fuel system to be rebuilt after a joint trip with multiple stops.

Narrative

I suspect I received contaminated fuel in either ZZZ or ZZZ1. I flew into ZZZ1 and ZZZ and purchased fuel on Day 0. I left the plane in ZZZ until I flew back to ZZZ1 on Day 16. I then continued on to ZZZ2; then on to my home airport in Location A. This flight was a flight of 2 planes; my T206H and my friends T210N. Be both fuel at ZZZ; ZZZ1; ZZZ2 and ZZZ3. About 3 months later we each had to have our fuel systems rebuilt. My engine driven fuel pump and fuel servo had to be overhauled. I had just installed a new fuel servo before the trip. Then only a few month later it was bad. The company that overhauled it said it looked like I had bad fuel. The diaphragm was swollen and smelled bad. He asked me if I had gotten fuel with alcohol or ethanol in it.I then had a conversation with my friend in the 210 and discovered that he too had a problem with his fuel system; requiring the equivalent systems in his plane overhauled at roughly the same time frame. MY A&P suggested that it might have been fuel that I received in Location B as the conditions there often times require use of these additives. I reached out to the FSDO in ZZZ to let them know about the potential issue; I was only able to leave a message. I have not heard back. I thought this might be an important potential issue so I am filling out this NASA report in hopes it gets to the right place.
