ACR ON CLB OUT HAS TCASII RA. COMPLIES.
Narrative
THIS RPT CONCERNS A TCASII RA INCURRED AT 9700 FT DURING CLB OUT FROM DFW. WE WERE CLRED TO 10000 FT AS PER THE PDC AND SID. AT APPROX 9500 FT (WITH VNAV CAPTURED) TCASII ISSUED A 'TA' ALERT; OUR CLB OUT RATE WAS APPROX 1500 FPM. AT 9700 FT TCASII ISSUED A 'RA' ACCOMPANIED BY AN AUDIO COMMAND TO 'DSND' AND A RED AND GREEN ARC DEPICTED ON THE CALIBRATION INDICES OF THE VSI. (THE RED ARC EXTENDED FROM OUR PRESENT CLB RATE 1000-1500 FPM; DOWN TO MINUS 1500 FPM -- THE GREEN ARC EXTENDED FROM MINUS 1500-2000 FPM). WE INITIATED A DSCNT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TCASII 'RA.' WE ADVISED DFW DEP OF OUR DEV AND THAT WE WERE NOW LEVEL AT 9200 DUE TO A TCASII 'RA.' THEY LATER SAID THE 'RA' HAD BEEN RPTED. DURING THAT 10-15 SECOND PAUSE OUR 'RA' CEASED AND WE ADVISED DEP CTL THAT WE WERE RESUMING OUR CLB TO 10000 FT. THEY ACKNOWLEDGED. I FEEL THIS TCASII 'RA' OCCURRED DUE TO THE OTHER ACFT'S DSCNT RATE TO 11000 FT AND OUR CLB RATE TO 10000 FT. POSSIBLY THE CLOSURE RATES BTWN THE 2 ACFT WAS INTERPRETED BY THE TCASII SOFTWARE AS A POTENTIAL THREAT.
