POTENTIAL GND CONFLICT.
Narrative
IT IS NIGHT; LANDED ON 34R; TURNED OFF AT B-3. GND CTL CLRED US TO THE RAMP. HAD TO MOVE TO OUR L AS CONSTRUCTION AND TEMPORARY BLUE LIGHTS WERE IN A DIRECT TAXI LINE OF THE NORMAL GREEN NOSEWHEEL LIGHTS. ONCE PAST THE FIRST CONSTRUCTION MOVED ACFT TOWARDS GREEN LIGHTS; JUST AS WE WERE ABOUT TO TRANSITION BACK TO GREEN LIGHTS. AN ACR LANDED AND WENT PAST US AND CLRED AT B-3. AS WE WERE CONTINUING ON THE GREEN; WE HEARD ACR ASK FOR THE INNER TO THE GATE. THERE WERE 5 OF US IN THE COCKPIT. WE WERE NOT TALKING AND NONE OF US HEARD WHEN APPARENTLY GND TOLD US OTHER ACR WOULD BE PASSING OFF TO OUR L. WHEN WE REACHED THE SECOND CONSTRUCTION AREA; I STARTED TO MOVE TO THE L AGAIN (TO CLR CONSTRUCTION). I LOOKED BACK AND ONLY IN MY PERIPHERAL VISION DID I SEE MOVEMENT; AND ACR Y WENT BY LIKE I WAS STANDING STILL AND I WAS TAXIING 5- 10 MPH. HAD ACR Y BEEN 200 FT FURTHER TO MY REAR I WOULD HAVE NEVER SEEN HIM AND IN MOVING E AS I HAD TO; ACR Y WOULD HAVE COLLIDED WITH MY ACFT. BECAUSE IT WAS NIGHT THE ACR Y COPLT WOULD NEVER HAVE SEEN MY LATERAL MOVEMENT AND THE CAPT WAS TAXIING SO FAST; HE COULD NEVER HAVE STOPPED EVEN IF HE HAD SEEN THE MOVEMENT. ALL; I GUESS; TO GET TO HIS GATE 1 MIN BEFORE HE WOULD HAVE IF HE HAD JUST FOLLOWED IN LINE LIKE IS DONE AT ALL OTHER ARPTS. I HAVE BEEN FLYING FOR 35 PLUS YRS AND NEVER HAVE I SEEN SUCH BLATANT DISREGARD OF SAFETY BY BOTH A PLT AND CTLR. THE CTLR SHOULD NEVER HAVE GIVEN SUCH A CLRNC; ESPECIALLY WITH CONSTRUCTION ON THE RAMP AND ESPECIALLY WHEN HE DID NOT RECEIVE AND READBACK WHAT WE UNDERSTOOD OR WHAT WAS HAPPENING.
