CE-525 pilot reported EFIS failure inflight. Pilot reset EFIS and continued flight.
Synopsis
CE-525 pilot reported EFIS failure inflight. Pilot reset EFIS and continued flight.
Narrative
Upon departing RWY XX out of ZZZ passing 1000-1100AGL; I had a Electronic Flight Instrument System (EFIS) Failure causing complete loss of my Primary Flight Display (PFD) and Horizontal Situation Indicator (HSI). Both screens went blank. Conditions were VMC on departure. I switched to standby instruments once I had a complete EFIS failure. Tower provided assistance to me to make initial turn to heading 273 as I was working the avionics failure. I was switched to departure controller as I was flying the SID (ZZZZZ1.ZZZZZ) off standby instruments. I was able to accomplish the emergency/abnormal checklist for a EFIS FAILURE which required resetting the flight guidance computer circuit breaker. I informed departure controller that I lost my PFD and HSI displays and that I was running the abnormal checklist. I requested to stay direct ZZZZZ until I got both screens recovered and the autopilot engaged because I was single pilot. I informed the departure controller that I was able to reset the system and the controller cleared me direct ZZZZZ2. The departure controller gave me a number to contact upon landing. I called the number and explained what happened to a Tower controller.
