Synopsis
Dispatcher reported a flight crew advised them of a crack in the L1 window. Flight diverted and landed safely.
Narrative
Just after just taking over the desk from the previous dispatcher; I was starting to get logged into all of the systems. I had just opened the software system when I got a message from the crew to call them. I dialed up the frequency of their closest position and called up the crew. They stated they had noticed a very small crack on the L1 window approx. halfway up the window. It appeared to be less than an inch; and the captain was able to feel it with his finger - letting him know that the crack in the window was on the inside window panel. We conferenced in with Maintenance Control who was advised of the crack in the window; and that no changes to pressurization had occurred. The pilots said they felt comfortable continuing on and would monitor the situation and notify dispatch if anything were to change. Shortly after the call; I was able to get the manual pulled up and referenced X.XX.XX WINDOW DAMAGE and began running through the checklist. I got to step XX and XY and realized the checklist states to land at the nearest suitable. I conferenced back in with the crew again via ARINC and then we patched in with the Chief Pilot who was made aware of the situation and the manual reference we were looking at. The Chief Pilot agreed that per the manual it states to land at the nearest suitable. The decision was made to land at ZZZ1; and the crew made a safe landing without further incident and then swapped aircraft and continued on to ZZZ2.
