Synopsis

G650 flight crew reported loss of data after takeoff. Diverted and landed uneventfully.

Narrative

Shortly after departure from ZZZ; the aircraft experienced a loss of data from a 'smart probe' which is a Gulfstream's version of a pitot probe. The loss of that data caused cascading issues with the autopilot; auto throttles and some conflicting airspeed and altitude data between PFD (Primary Flight Display) 1 and 2 and the Standby Flight displays. The crew took about 5-7 minutes to work through the appropriate checklists while simultaneously hand flying the aircraft in a high workload environment. Eventually data was partially restored via the use of the 3rd air data system. It was determined that the flight could not continue into RVSM airspace and therefore a diversion was necessary due to the autopilot and auto throttles continuing to be intermittent. Additionally; there was about a 150 foot difference between the altimeters on PFD 1 and 2. The pilots stopped the aircraft's climb at 17;000 ft and subsequently requested a diversion to ZZZ1. Additionally they requested vectors and altitudes from ATC. The aircraft continued successfully to ZZZ1 and landed at ZZZ1 with no further issues.
