Synopsis
Icon A5 pilot reported the nose gear suddenly collapsed during the landing roll.
Narrative
Upon landing; my nose gear suddenly collapsed while I was on the runway during the landing roll. The gear indicator lights inside the cockpit continued to indicate that all landing gear were down; both in the air shortly after I lowered the gear in preparation for landing; as well as on short final; as well as after touchdown when the nose gear was actually already collapsed; all the way until I turned the Master switch off. The main gear extended properly and remained extended even after the aircraft came to a complete stop.I conducted my preflight inspection as usual. I did not notice anything unusual during the preflight. I remember inspecting the nose gear assembly carefully; as I always do; and there was nothing that appeared wrong with it.ICON Aircraft has had numerous similar incidents with nose gear collapses. They have redesigned some of the nose gear mechanisms in the past; and issued Service Bulletin SB-012624-A (Mandatory) NLG Limit Switch Over-Engagement. I complied with this Service Bulletin (SB). Nevertheless; it appears that even this new redesign is still lacking and may need to be redone.
