Synopsis

B747-400 Captain reported an engine malfunction during the takeoff roll. The Captain rejected the takeoff and taxied to parking.

Narrative

I was the Captain and pilot monitoring on Aircraft X ZZZ - ZZZ1. We had normal engine starts and taxied to runway XXC in ZZZ. ATC had offered us an intersection departure; but due to being close to MTOW told them would prefer full length. We were cleared to line up wait XXC. As we started the takeoff roll I did not notice any abnormal engine indications. As we approached 80 knots and was looking to verify Thrust set I noticed the thrust on Eng 1 was below the target N1 of 100.3. I advanced the #1 thrust lever slightly to see if it would bring the thrust up. There was no change and N1 remained 92.8 and then started to roll back. At that time I made the decision to Reject the takeoff. We brought the aircraft to a stop and I made decision to exit the runway. After about 15 minutes and no significant increase in BTMS (Brake Temperature Monitoring System) made decision to taxi back to ramp without further incident.Cause: Engine driven fuel pump and HMC (Heavy Maintenance Check) failure.
